Banana Q is one of the common Philippine street foods, sweet and delicious snack a good partner for an ice glass of cola or what ever you desire with. Anyway as far as on my experience the best kind of banana to be use on making banana q is (Saba) unfortunately you can’t find it so easy in any Asian store especially on the side of Europe if you think to find it in all part of Asia you can forget it unfortunately not all countries can have this fruits philippine is one of the lucky ones on having it but I believe it is visible in some Asian store in America (lucky Philippine fellow’s). Incase you wanted to try it your self it is very easy to make you just need the fallowing:
Long bamboo stick
Banana
Oil
Brown sugar
Banana leaves
Preheat the pan on a low fire; put enough oil to deep fry the banana and cook it slowly, once the skin of the banana turn into golden brown then you can now throw the sugar in the pan. Remember not to over estimate the sugar as soon as it been caramelizing and covered the banana that is enough to strain and let it cold in the banana leaves banana leaves is the perfect thing to use while cooking this sort of food coz' it prevent the caramel to stick. So now that’s it, you can put it on the stick when ever you want and give it to your visitors or children for a snack.
